The Great "8"

Somehow, I blinked...and this cute little newborn peanut...

turned into this adorable little 8 month old man...
who LOVES his bath (cries when we get him out)...

is in awe of his older cousins...

LOVES his puppy "Marvin" (the puppy has currently replaced the paci...he HATES the paci...and he knows if you try and trick him)...

had a love/hate relationship with Santa (Uncle Jeff) this year (loved him for a few minutes and then was ready to get off his lap and back into Mom's)...

loves to jump in his Jumperoo...

that smile MELTS both mom and dad's hearts...

loves to sit in his Bumbo and watch the Today Show/CSI/Law & Order (while chewing on his his banana brush)...

It has been a crazy 8 months!!! We have been loving every SECOND of it though. He is growing and changing every day...which is great and heart breaking at the same time. At his 6 month checkup he was still on the small side for his weight, however, he made up for it in length (measuring in the 80%)...guessing he will be tall like daddy! I am exciting to see what the Dr. says at his 9 month. Also, he has 4 teeth now!!!...Ouch!!! Still no food...he spits it back out at us (which makes for a FUN feeding time)...any suggestions???...and NO PACI...but he does sleep through the night...whew!!!

All-in-all Noah is the greatest baby!!! Happy and easy going...I don't know how we got so lucky!!! On to number 2...just kidding...sorry, that won't be for A LONG LONG TIME :)

Long "Over-Due"

It has been brought to my attention, that it has been well over a year since my last post...and a LOT has happened in our lives sinces then!!!...

Cory & I both turned the big 29...

Celebrated our 5th Anniversary...actually getting ready to have our 6th...

Sold our house...moved to Driggs (finally)...learned to fly fish...

And, on May 12, 2010...we added this little guy to our family!!!

He came a "little" early (4 weeks)...
and, ended up spending 7 days in the NICU (I tried to tell the Dr.'s that him having a low body temperature he couldn't maintain on his own runs in the family...but, they didn't go for it)...

Probably the cutest "little" guy I have EVER SEEN...

and, I don't say that just because I am his mother ;)

1. One word PJ's - I "luv" to wear them! I immediately put them on after I get home from work OR if I am going to be home during the day for more than a 30 minute stretch...I can't help it & I am truly not comfortable unless I am in them. In fact (and the Brown Family can vouch for this), I like to have a pajama day every now and then (for those of you who are not familiar with this ritual, that means I don't get out of my pajamas at all during the day) - you might even see me at the grocery store (or Wendy's) in them - not to worry though, I reserve my "nice" pj's for this occasion!

2. I could survive on Turkey sandwiches (from Subway), a loaf of wheat bread and yogurt. I kid-you-not! If it wasn't for Cory I would eat any combination of that for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

3. I don't like staying by myself (probably not a big surprise). Last week was the first time since Cory and I have been married that I made it through the night all alone (with Maggie & Luca to scare away any intruders). I did, however, have to sleep with the hall light and all the outside lights on - I blame all the scary movies I watched as a "youngin" & the scary books I insist on reading now.

4. I am a hypochondriac (I'm sure you all know this by now). I can no longer watch ER or read any article or book having to do with a terminal illness. I won't go into too much detail on this one - but I will say this...I have my doctor on speed dial.

5. I can't leave Luca home alone while we go on vacation...even for the weekend. I know that cats can stay by themselves - but, I'm afraid that she will get lonely & I don't want her to feel bad that I took Maggie (my dog) and not her...don't ask Cory about it...he gets very angry regarding this subject.

6. Car rattles - any noise/rattle in my car (or someone else's car) drives me CRAZY - it's like nails on a chalk board. I drive Cory crazy with this one, because while I am driving I make him try and find them so I can fix them...it makes driving very very stressful.

Okay, so that wasn't so bad!!! I have many many more "quirks", but at this time I choose to keep the rest to myself!!! I tag Rachel, Krystal, Missy, Shai, Mandy and Kara...good luck ladies!

At the end of last year my parents decided to take a trip to New York...and lucky us, we got to tag along (thanks Mom & Dad)!!! I had never been to New York, so I didn't know quite what to expect...we went to...

Time Square

Little Italy

The Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island

Empire State Building (not quite the Sleepless in Seattle experience I had hoped for)

Trump International (and we searched for "The Donald"...but never saw him)

Walked through Central Park (famous bridge from You've Got Mail & Enchanted)

Checked out Tiffany & Co. (although I didn't buy anything - sigh...I know, so disappointing, right?!)

And, my favorite part...we checked out the Today Show - where I got my picture taken with Matt (we're now on a first name basis!!!)...

and Al

and had anyone been up early on Thursday and watched the show, you would have seen us waving like idiots for the camera!!!

Those are a few of the "highlights" from our trip...it was a fabulous trip - but I have to admit I was very EXCITED to get out of the city and back to Idaho...where the air is clean (minus Simplot) and I don't have to walk down the street shoulder-to-shoulder with a million other people...even Driggs was looking pretty nice!!!

1. Sewing is my current obsession...which would bring me to my current collection - FABRIC;
2. Reading - I will read pretty much anything...but I really like Jody Piccoult, the Twilight Series, and any good murder mystery (I should probably quit reading those, since Cory will now be traveling for work);
3. Blogging...but mostly just reading blogs!

3 Surprising Facts:
1. I am a closet hypochondriac...actually most of you probably already know that;
2. I fully support having pajama days (notice that's plural);
3. I LOVE most of the shows on the CW (WB)...One Tree Hill & the new 90210 are fantastic!!!--I also love most reality TV shows...my favorite is probably The Girls Next Door (no complaints from Cory on that one)!!!

Movin' On Up...Literally...

...at least North that is . It's official as of September 1, 2008...

Cory will be an employee of Sysco Foods and the Hunt Family will be residents of Driggs, Idaho! I don't know quite what to think - it has all happened soooooooo fast...and as many of you know this move was NOT planned...since in April we finished our house and have barely moved in...I still don't have all of my decorations up (I guess that's a good thing...less to re-pack). Anyway, it will be exciting to say the least!!!...and Congrats to Cory on his new career!

...we have added a new member to our family - Luca - isn't she the cutest???!!!

We found her abandoned in our neighbors window well on Sunday afternoon...and being the "softie" that I am...I couldn't turn her away. I took her to the vet yesterday and got her all her shots...found out she weighs a hardy 1.3lbs...and now she's ours!!! I can't say that Maggie is "thrilled" with the new addition...

...and I didn't think I would ever be a "cat person"...but I have to say...
...this one is pretty cute...and extremely intelligent...at 5 weeks old she's already potty trained herself...so, I guess I am a cat person after all!!!

This summer has gone by super, super fast (well...it's not over yet...but June and July have flown by)! Here are a few of the highlights...

We spent the 4th of July in Long Beach, CA with Logan, Trisha...and Kyle (turns out that even though we did a lot of fun stuff in California...I only took pictures of Logan...nothing of Sea World)

Last weekend with the Lacey/Jones/Hunt Family at American Falls

Who knew there were sharks in that water???!!!

And, this weekend in Driggs, ID with my family floating on the Snake!

I absolutely love So You Think You Can Dance! Everytime I watch it, I can't help but want to get up and dance, dance, dance, dance!!!...and for all you guys know, that's just what I do! I didn't get into this craze until last season--and now I live for every Wednesday and Thursday...it makes summer TV watching soooooooooo much better. Plus, I can DVR the entire season and watch it again, again, again, again!!!!!!!!

My only problem this season is I can't decide who I LUV more...

2. Who eats more? Cory (most of the time)

3. Who said I love you first? Cory - it was while we were snow shoeing at night!!!

4. Who is taller? Hmm...that's a close one...I would have to say Cory...but just barely?!

5. Who is smarter? It depends on the subject...

6. Who is more sensitive? Me...but Cory does have a surprisingly secret sensitive side to him!!!

7. Who does the laundry? I do...but Cory will do it if it is a life-and-death situation (like he needs his basketball shorts washed).

8. Who sleeps in the rights side of the bed? Cory

9. Who pays the bills? We share it equally...usually he pays the really important ones, like Dish and Internet!!!

10. Who cooks more? I d0 - but I think Cory would argue with that! He does do some fabulous hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill...and chicken and steak...I guess he does his fare share?

11. What meals do you do together? Usually one of us will do the main dish and the other the side...but when we order in he looks up the phone number and I have to place the order.

12. Who is more stubborn? I think Cory would agree with this one...me.

13. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Neither of us likes to admit they are wrong...but Cory usually fesses up first...then me (if in fact I was wrong)!
14. Who is more clean? I am...and I think Cory's whole family would agree on that one. However, he keeps his car VERY clean (thanks Brad)...and I am not quite so good at that (usually you can find something I left in there for everyday of the week in the back seat).
15. Who has more siblings? Cory (he comes from a family with four kids - and I come from a family of two)
16. Who wears the pants in the family? Hands down, I do!!!
17. What do you like to do together? We of course LOVE hanging out with family and friends!...we like to float, ski, snowshoe, hike, bike, VACATION...and I can usually talk him into playing a game of Canasta while we watch TV!!!
18. Who eats more sweets? That's a toss-up. We both like candy...and chocolate...and cookies...and cake...and...
19. Guilty Pleasures? Cory watched the Felicity (WB show) series seasons 1-4 with me...and I didn't even have to talk him into it! We can also make a batch of cookie dough and thoroughly enjoy it!!! There's a few more...I won't mention!!!! Just kidding...sorta!
20. How did you meet? I think I owe that one to Stacey Proctor (according to her). She was Cory's golfing buddy the summer she and I started hanging out. And we all started hanging out - camping, biking, golfing (although I don't think I did a ton of the golfing part).

21. Who asked who out first? Cory asked me - and I think I said no (he asked me to go golfing...and I thought he was kidding, so I said "no"). He did ask again though...thank goodness...and we to Salt Lake to pick up his brother Kyle and Kyle's girlfriend Trisha (who is now his wife!!!). That was maybe the LONGEST ride of my life!!! We went to Tony Roma's and then walked around the Temple grounds (I haven't been able to get him back to walk around the Temple grounds since...not even to see the Christmas lights)!
22.Who kissed who first? Cory kissed me first. I tease him that it took him FOREVER to kiss me (and it was quite a few dates before he did)...but it was actually the perfect amount of time before we finally locked lips!!!...and it was the perfect kiss!!!
23.Who proposed? Cory. Stacey, Bubba, Cory and I went skiing to Targhee on Valentines Day - he said he wanted to have a race down the hill - Bubba & Stacey against the two of us & each team had to go down different runs - being the competitor that I am I was trying my hardest to race down the hill - but half way down he suddenly stopped and said his boot was "hurting him" - he bent down to fix it (I was more than a little ticked because I was sure we were going to loose...thanks to him) - he was on one knee and he pulled out the ring from his pocket and asked me right there on the run...PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT!!! It was kind of fun because no one knew we were dating (again - we broke up once...but that's a whole other story), so it was a MAJOR surprise to everyone!!!
24. Best Features? His smile, his eyes...he takes excellent care of everyone around him...I could go on and on...don't tell him that though!!!
25. What is his Best Quality? He would do anything for anyone at anytime.

So, back in October Cory and I said "adios" to life in our town house and "hola" to life with my mom and dad. While living the "good life" with them we...

dug a hole and poured some concrete...

put up walls & a roof...

and after a LOT of hard work...

WE FINISHED...

...we waived goodbye to mom and dad...and headed off to life in OUR NEW HOME!!! Now all we need is a yard...because apparently some dogs refuse to lift a leg on dirt!
